Interesting read. Bell asks a lot of questions that are worthy of consideration. Not all of Bell's answers felt right but the book was good at getting you to think about why we believe what we do.

Martin's book helped me to realize that I approach most challenges from the perspective of a designer. My focus on testing the validity of an idea often come in contrast with those who are looking for a reliable idea. Well worth a read for those who find themselves stuck in the reliability trap.

Volf made me rethink how I think about memory. He stresses the importance of remembering rightly, especially in cases where one is seeking forgiveness or reconciliation. I found some of his views quite thought provoking and it took me some time to get my head around what he was trying to say. But it was worth the struggle as the book provided a new framework for thinking about my own past and experiences.
